Handoff Privacy Policy

This privacy policy is for the Handoff Chrome extension, a free tool built and offered by Growth Experts. It does not replace the Growth Experts website privacy policy.

What Handoff collects

Handoff collects no personal data. It has no account system, no analytics, and no tracking. Nothing is sent to any server, including servers run by Growth Experts.

Where edits and notes are stored

When you edit copy or leave a note, that information is stored only in the browser's local extension storage for the current page. It stays on your device. You can clear it any time from the extension or by removing Handoff from your browser.

Clipboard

Handoff writes to the clipboard only when you click Copy prompt. That action copies the edits and notes you chose to record, so you can paste them into Cursor, Claude Code, or another AI coding agent. We do not receive a copy.

Permissions

Handoff asks for a small set of Chrome permissions so it can run on the page you activate it on:

• activeTab, so the editor can run on the tab where you click the toolbar icon
• scripting, so the floating panel and inline editor can appear on that page
• storage, so edits and notes can be saved in local extension storage for the current page
• a keyboard command, so you can open the panel without clicking the toolbar icon

These permissions are used only to run the editor on the page you choose. Handoff does not read other tabs in the background and does not send page content anywhere.
